Community Care
One of my favorite things about Acudetox / Acu-wellness is the ease of bringing it anywhere! Whether it’s to a friend’s house for movie night, during a camping trip by the river, or at a community clinic in the park, Acudetox can be a simple yet potent way of supporting our community’s wellness!

I am very proud to be an Acupuncture Detoxification Specialist (ADS). Not only because of the support it allows me to offer folks along their journey to health but also because it was one of the main pillars I leaned on while I made the journey to sobriety. ♡
Acudetox is a 5-point ear acupuncture protocol involving the gentle placement of up to five small needles into designated points on each ear. Ancient & Traditional Chinese Medicine Principles establish a link between corresponding internal organs to support mental health, emotional health, mood, PTSD, addiction, pain, or healing of emotional traumas. Acudetox was originally created as a harm reduction technique in the 1970s but has been found to support all individuals, regardless of substance use habits. Acudetox is offered in community care settings all around North America and is able to foster balance within each individual’s unique nervous system. Acudetox is an incredible tool for supporting all community members, including youth, parents, frontline workers, and people experiencing anxiety, depression, PTSD, or addiction; it is beneficial for all people, regardless of where you lie on the spectrum of mental health. The video below is an example of how Acudetox is being used to support communities in New York.
